A Small Salute on Veterans’ Day

“And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered,
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers.
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.” Henry V, Act IV, Scene III

It isn’t much, but I hope it helps.

Here’s to the “happy few,” the band of brothers and sisters who served, and continue to serve, in defense of our liberty, our democracy, our people.

Thank you, from the grateful citizens in Mr. D’s Neighborhood.

  1. Visit Soldier’s Mail and take a rollicking World War I adventure along with a young New England doughboy on the front lines from the hot sands along the Rio Grande to the cold mud along the Meuse.
